Senior Storytelling Workshop with the Bushwick Starr

Through theater warm ups, games, and creative writing prompts, our theater class will guide and encourage participants to express themselves in new ways. We will use our bodies, minds, and imaginations to tell stories about ourselves and also dream into new worlds we can create together. How are we different from when we were children and how are we the same? How do we contain all the places we've lived within us? All the people we've loved? What futures are we holding in our imaginations? What stories feel urgent to us and how can we share them? The classes are perfect for beginners who have never performed and also for the poets and performers among us! We welcome all types of participation and will make the class accessible for all This program is sponsored by the Friends of Ridgewood Library.
