Creative Aging: Quilting Workshop

This is an onsite program at the Briarwood Library. Professional teaching artist Karen Fitzgerald leads the class in sewing, planning, and quilting techniques. Participants will learn about the different types of fabrics and approaches to designing a quilt. If you have never used a sewing machine, sewing lessons are included. This is an eight-session sequential workshop. You will also be utilizing your own fabric. You can use garments that you take apart. The teacher will be bringing in some fabric to share, and there will be a box of shared supplies available. If you want to bring your own supplies though, please call the Briarwood library (718-658-1680) for a list of supplies or email mailabook@queenslibrary.
