This March, join QPL in honoring the diverse contributions of women who are leading sustainability efforts across environmental, economic, educational, and social justice movements. From environmental advocacy and financial reform to community organizing and policy innovation, women are driving meaningful, holistic change.
We aim to raise awareness about the historical and contemporary roles of women in shaping sustainable change and encourage a future vision where women’s leadership is central to thriving communities and a healthy planet.
This year at QPL, we are celebrating our 130th anniversary! We have partnered with the Queens Name Explorer project to honor the brave and brilliant women, with named places in Queens, who have built, shaped, and sustained us with a special QNE collection: Queens Public Library’s 130th Anniversary: The Women Who Shaped Us.
