Free Citizenship Classes

Location: Broadway
Registration: Not required

Learn everything you need to know about American history, government and culture to pass the citizenship exam. Register in person at the library on Wednesday, March 29 at 11:00 AM or call 718-278-4303 to preregister in advance. Students should have a copy of their green card when they come to register. Participants must attend the entire 12 week class series. Candidates must be Green Card holders. The first day of class is Registration day when they should have a copy of their Green Card.

Naturalization Workshop ( in English and Spanish)

Location: Central Library
Registration: Registration is not yet open for this program. Please check back closer to the program date.

This workshop is for legal permanent residents to fill out the N-400 application for naturalization and a full or partial fee waiver, if eligible. To register call 718-990-0893 or go online:

Introduction

New Americans Corners is an initiative in partnership with the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services and the NYC Mayor’s Office of Immigrant Affairs. Queens Library’s 62 locations and its 7 Adult Learning Centers are creating dedicated spaces where immigrants can find information and resources to become a U.S. citizen.
