About the Collection
The Black Heritage Video Collection contains biographical, historical, geographic, dramatic, literary and instructional VHS and DVD videos by and about the Black experience.
Special emphasis in the collection is given to acquiring original works created by independent video/filmmakers in the African Diaspora.
Works about the Black Arts Movement and the Black Power Movement, as well as biopics, dance, jazz, gospel and theatrical performances are also included in the Black Heritage Video Collection.
