Douglaston Alert
Douglaston/Little Neck is closed for the construction of a new building.
Mobile Library service at Douglaston/Little Neck Library is available on Fridays from 10am–5pm.
The project will replace the existing branch with a new, 12,000-square-foot facility. It will feature two stories plus a lower level, designated areas for children, teens and adults, meeting rooms, an outdoor garden, and more. It will be a LEED Gold Green Building, including photovoltaic panels, a green roof, and natural light throughout the branch.
We currently expect the new library to open in Summer 2030.
We apologize for any inconvenience, and we appreciate your patience and understanding as we continue working to make improvements to our libraries.
