Pride Month: Culture Connection: "Good Morning Moon: A Snapshot of an American Family"

Join us for this virtual book talk with Brad Gooch, Penny Arcade, and Ama Birch! In his new memoir "Good Morning Moon," bestselling author Brad Gooch explores becoming a father in middle age after surviving the AIDS crisis and the loss of his first great love. Gooch and his husband welcome two sons via surrogacy, prompting him to reflect on his own upbringing. His book is a poignant and often humorous look at the evolving nature of gay identity and the universal experience of parenthood. Penny Arcade is an NYC-based performance artist, playwright, and poet. She has been a key figure in avant-garde theatre for over 50 years, creating work that explores gentrification, sexual politics, and counterculture. Ama Birch is a poet and artist, and the author of six books, an animation, and a video game. She is an adjunct professor in the Department of English at Hunter College.
