Summer Reading: Middle School Maker Club - Science of Sight

Join Citation Needed on a journey through light and space to uncover the science behind seeing color. Through a series of experiments in vision, electromagnetism, and cognitive neuroscience, library patrons will explore the technologies behind seeing color digitally and in real life. Each workshop will feature a science concept with a hands-on artistic experiment, culminating in a mini exhibition featuring student work. This curriculum is grounded in observation and inquiry, digital literacy, design and systems thinking, and multi-modal learning.   Register here: https://queenslib.org/ScienceOfSight Major support provided by the New York Life Foundation, the 2025 city-wide sponsor for Summer Reading and Learning programs.
