Pride: Stop-Motion Workshop

Teens! Are you interested in learning stop-motion animation? Join award-winning artist and animator Matthew Sandager for this hands-on Pride-themed stop-motion workshop where you'll create your own short animation. PRIDE: For more Pride programs, booklists, and resources, visit https://queenslib.org/pride2026. We’ll build mini sets, stage our scenes, and shoot our own stop-motion clips using a simple, accessible stop-motion app. By the end of the session, everyone will have a finished mini film to screen and share, celebrating Pride through playful visuals, hands-on making, and creative self-expression. The workshop will be led by Matthew Sandager whose work includes commissions for Sesame Street, Target, The New York Review of Books, and John Derian, and who has taught stop-motion workshops for young artists, including as a visiting artist at the Charles Schulz Museum.
