Urban farmer Gil Lopez shares information about cultivating and growing edible/culinary mushrooms at home. This workshop will include a presentation offering a broad overview of the fungi kingdom, different types of mushrooms, life cycle, anatomy and other fungi details. A basic mushroom cultivation technique will be taught, and the lesson will end with a hands-on mushroom cultivation demo where participants will leave with mushroom material to grow at home.
