Don't miss this conversation with award-winning filmmaker Ira Sachs, performance artist Penny Arcade and author Michael Schulman about Sachs’s new film “Peter Hujar’s Day” (2025). Ira Sachs's films include "Passages" (2023), "Frankie" (2019), "Little Men" (2016), "Keep the Lights On" (2012), and "Forty Shades of Blue" (2005). He is also the Founding Director of Queer|Art, a nonprofit that provides support for LGBTQ+ artists. Penny Arcade is an actress and playwright known for her comedic wit and stage presence. In 1970, Peter Hujar photographed Penny for Rags, a counterculture fashion magazine. They remained friends until his death in 1987. Michael Schulman is a staff writer at The New Yorker. His work has also appeared in The New York Times, Vanity Fair and other publications. His most recent book is “Oscar Wars: A History of Hollywood in Gold, Sweat, and Tears."
