Chinese Calligraphy Exhibit: Tang Poems and Calligraphic Art
The Tang Poetry 300 calligraphy exhibition - held in October 2024 at Manhasset, Flushing, and Syosset Libraries - celebrates the rich heritage of Chinese calligraphy and Tang Dynasty poetry. This joint exhibition, the first of its kind across three New York libraries, showcases 50-60 calligraphic works at each location, featuring a total of 300 Tang poems. Chinese calligraphy, a core cultural art form, is renowned for expressing deep emotions and promoting well-being. The exhibition aims to foster learning and connection within the community by blending the artistic beauty of poetry and calligraphy. Organized by the "Poetry 300 Organizing Committee" and supported by prominent cultural organizations, this event marks a significant cultural milestone. The exhibition is open to the public from October 1-30, 2024, with extended dates at Manhasset Public Library through December 30, 2024.
