Black History Month: Our Voices in Narratives and Verses, A Poetry Recital by Bob McNeil

Join us at Langston Hughes Library for a recital by acclaimed poet, essayist, and artist Bob McNeil. Join us as Mr. McNeil pays tribute to the following literary milestones through recital and discussion: the Harlem Renaissance (1910s–1930s), the Chicago Renaissance (1930s–1950s), the Civil Rights/Black Protest Literature (1940s–1960s), the Black Arts Movement (1965–1975), the Afrofuturism wave (1980s–present), and the Contemporary Black Literary Renaissance (1990s–present).
