English: John Wang holds a Master’s degree in Comparative Religion from Harvard University, as well as both Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in English from Shanghai International Studies University. His writings have appeared in Xinmin Evening News and World Journal Weekly. In recent years, he has presented over thirty bilingual (Chinese-English) lecture series at Queens Public Library and Brooklyn Public Library on topics including faith, religion, and multiculturalism, earning wide recognition from diverse audiences. In this series, we will explore selected well-known films, such as The Matrix and The Truman Show, and uncover the profound questions about reality, existence, and human nature embedded within these cinematic spectacles.
