Public Budget Hearing Fiscal Year 2021

Queens Public Library is preparing its operating budget for Fiscal Year 2021. The public is invited to find out what the Library’s funding priorities are and to give the Library their input. The Library’s public budget hearing, originally scheduled for April 7, 2020, has been rescheduled for Thursday, May 21, 2020 at 5:00pm. For the protection of participants, the hearing will be held electronically instead of via live meeting, pursuant to Governor Cuomo’s Executive Order 220.1. To view the Fiscal Year 2021 Budget priorities document, please click here. Members of the public who have comments on the Library’s budget in advance of the hearing may submit them here.

There will be a limited opportunity for the public to submit comments, in written form, during the hearing itself. The Library will provide instructions on how to submit such comments during the hearing at the beginning of the event.

In addition to the opportunity to submit comments in advance of the hearing, and during the hearing, the Library will also be taking public comments online from May 22 to June 20. Following the hearing, interested members of the public should return to this page for a link to submit post-hearing comments.
