2019 Home Movie Day

Do you have a canister of 8mm film in your closet that you’ve always wanted to watch, but have no way of projecting? Do you have family home movies you’re trying to keep safe for future generations? Join us on Home Movie Day 2019 to screen your film and get help from film preservation experts! This free event will include Home Movie Bingo and other fun interactions with these rare and entertaining treasures on film. Film, optical media, and videotape welcome!

We currently do not have a Friends group at this location, however, kindly contact the Friends Administrator (friends@queenslibrary.org) to find an active Friends group near you. 

Friends Chapters enrich community life around their community library. You will meet other people who care, and you will benefit your neighborhood by:

• Increasing community awareness and library use.
• Acting as liaisons between community and your library.
• Sponsoring programs that enhance the cultural life of your community.

As a Friend, you will:

• Educate your community about Queens Library’s vital services.
• Contribute your time towards programs and special activities at your library.
• Advocate for better library service to your own community through outreach, legislative contact, and fundraising.
