Free Tickets to Shakespeare in the Park - Coriolanus

You’re invited to get free tickets at the library on the same day as the show! Tickets will be distributed at library locations at noon, and are first-come, first-served – there are limited quantities so be sure to get there early. Each person (age 5+) may receive up to two (2) tickets, while supplies last. Note that ticket vouchers are distributed by the Public Theater.

Home Movie Day 2019

Do you have a canister of 8mm film or a VHS tape in your closet that you’ve always wanted to watch, but don't have the equipment? Do you have family home movies you’re trying to keep safe for future generations? Join us on Home Movie Day 2019 to screen your movie and get help from preservation experts! This free event will include Home Movie Bingo (with prizes!) and other fun interactions with these rare and entertaining treasures. Film, CDs, DVDs, hard drives and videotape welcome!


Thank you for your interest in the Friends of the Library at Queens Library.

We currently do not have a Friends group at this location, however, kindly contact the Friends Administrator (friends@queenslibrary.org) to find an active Friends group near you. 

Friends Chapters enrich community life around their community library. You will meet other people who care, and you will benefit your neighborhood by:

• Increasing community awareness and library use.
• Acting as liaisons between community and your library.
• Sponsoring programs that enhance the cultural life of your community.

As a Friend, you will:

• Educate your community about Queens Library’s vital services.
• Contribute your time towards programs and special activities at your library.
• Advocate for better library service to your own community through outreach, legislative contact, and fundraising.
