Yoga for Adults with Dorothy Ng

Location: Queensboro Hill
Registration: Not required

Certified yoga instructor Dorothy Ng teaches basic yoga techniques and exercises. Bring a mat and wear workout clothes. It is recommended that you do not eat for three hours or drink for one hour before class. Space is limited and available first-come, first-served.

The Queens Symphony Woodwind Quintet presents Prokofiev: Peter and the Wolf

Location: Queensboro Hill

Prokofiev’s Peter and the Wolf for woodwind quintet and narrator is a classic for all ages. Peter, his animal friends, his grandfather, the wolf, and the hunters are represented by the instruments of the woodwind quintet and all have appropriate musical themes making this piece a delight to hear.

Queens Memory at the Queensboro Hill Library

Come see historic photos and maps of Flushing from the library’s archival collections and join the Queens Memory story circle. Find out more about your neighborhood and share your recollections of living and working in Queens. Learn how your family’s history can be part of the library’s permanent local history collections.


Thank you for your interest in the Friends of the Library at Queens Library.

We currently do not have a Friends group at this location, however, kindly contact the Friends Administrator (friends@queenslibrary.org) to find an active Friends group near you. 

Friends Chapters enrich community life around their community library. You will meet other people who care, and you will benefit your neighborhood by:

• Increasing community awareness and library use.
• Acting as liaisons between community and your library.
• Sponsoring programs that enhance the cultural life of your community.

As a Friend, you will:

• Educate your community about Queens Library’s vital services.
• Contribute your time towards programs and special activities at your library.
• Advocate for better library service to your own community through outreach, legislative contact, and fundraising.
