Livestreamed Art History Series from the Queens Museum

Topic: Queens Museum Art Program in Chinese: Patty Chang & The Wandering Lake
Description: A Livestreamed Art Program by the Queens Museum, spoken in Chinese (Mandarin), presenting the works of Patty Chang, an artist who emerged from New York’s alternative art scene in the mid-1990s. The program can be viewed at the Hillcrest and East Flushing Libraries. Registration for at home viewers is required by calling Mail a Book 718-464-0084 where you will be given a link to the program.

Thank you for your interest in the Friends of the Library at Queens Library.

We currently do not have a Friends group at this location, however, kindly contact the Friends Administrator (friends@queenslibrary.org) to find an active Friends group near you. 

Friends Chapters enrich community life around their community library. You will meet other people who care, and you will benefit your neighborhood by:

• Increasing community awareness and library use.
• Acting as liaisons between community and your library.
• Sponsoring programs that enhance the cultural life of your community.

As a Friend, you will:

• Educate your community about Queens Library’s vital services.
• Contribute your time towards programs and special activities at your library.
• Advocate for better library service to your own community through outreach, legislative contact, and fundraising.
