Korean for Beginners III

This class offers additional daily conversational skills and more vocabulary. This class also covers Korean grammar and sentence patterns with a solid foundation of four aspects of the language: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Completion of Korean for Beginners II is NOT required.

Queens Library Rocks! with Drum Beats Percussionist Freddy Dugard

This upbeat and engaging three session drum workshop will have children rocking to the beat. Percussionist Freddy Dugard will kick-off Summer Reading "Library Rocks" with musical style and rhythmic patterns. Beginners and experinced participants are welcome. For children 8 to 12. Korean Calligraphy Workshop

We currently do not have a Friends group at this location, however, kindly contact the Friends Administrator (friends@queenslibrary.org) to find an active Friends group near you. 

Friends Chapters enrich community life around their community library. You will meet other people who care, and you will benefit your neighborhood by:

• Increasing community awareness and library use.
• Acting as liaisons between community and your library.
• Sponsoring programs that enhance the cultural life of your community.

As a Friend, you will:

• Educate your community about Queens Library’s vital services.
• Contribute your time towards programs and special activities at your library.
• Advocate for better library service to your own community through outreach, legislative contact, and fundraising.
