Legal Advice for Homeowners

Are you a homeowner in Queens with concerns about your mortgage, property taxes, homeowner's insurance, or water and sewage bills? A representative from The Legal Aid Society's Foreclosure Prevention Unit will be at the library to answer your questions one-on-one.

ShapeUp NYC: Carib Dance Fitness

Location: South Ozone Park
Registration: Not required

Come feel the Caribbean vibes with soca, reggae, and African rhythms through dance fitness with instructor Ariana Carthan. Participants will work up a sweat in an hour of aerobic movements mixed with dance. Wear comfortable clothes and sneakers; bring a water bottle and towel. Space is limited. Participation is on a first-come, first-served basis.

Crochet Club

Crochet or knit to make apparel for the World Vision Knit For Kids program. All levels of crafters are welcome. We have an exciting group who help each other learn. All year program, all ages are welcomed. No registration - just come with 1 skein of yarn and needle to begin.

Thank you for your interest in the Friends of the Library at Queens Library.

We currently do not have a Friends group at this location, however, kindly contact the Friends Administrator (friends@queenslibrary.org) to find an active Friends group near you. 

Friends Chapters enrich community life around their community library. You will meet other people who care, and you will benefit your neighborhood by:

• Increasing community awareness and library use.
• Acting as liaisons between community and your library.
• Sponsoring programs that enhance the cultural life of your community.

As a Friend, you will:

• Educate your community about Queens Library’s vital services.
• Contribute your time towards programs and special activities at your library.
• Advocate for better library service to your own community through outreach, legislative contact, and fundraising.
