STEM Storytime

A Journey Through Rhythm with Apollo Theater

Make a Castle with ArchForKids

A Reptile "Edventure" with Erik Callender

Location: South Jamaica

This fun-filled educational experience gives children age 6 and up a unique opportunity to see and learn about The Reptile Guy's animal science, rescue, and awareness. Meet reptiles, amphibians, and even some large insects from around the world.


Thank you for your interest in the Friends of the Library at Queens Library.

We currently do not have a Friends group at this location, however, kindly contact the Friends Administrator (friends@queenslibrary.org) to find an active Friends group near you. 

Friends Chapters enrich community life around their community library. You will meet other people who care, and you will benefit your neighborhood by:

• Increasing community awareness and library use.
• Acting as liaisons between community and your library.
• Sponsoring programs that enhance the cultural life of your community.

As a Friend, you will:

• Educate your community about Queens Library’s vital services.
• Contribute your time towards programs and special activities at your library.
• Advocate for better library service to your own community through outreach, legislative contact, and fundraising.
