Music and Sound: Google CS First

Location: Rochdale Village

Details: Customers are required to attend all sessions of this program. Registering for this session will reserve your spot for the entire program.

Create your own digital music and sounds!
Use the computer to design your own music, create your own instruments and music videos, and learn how technology is used in the music industry! No previous computer experience necessary. Age 8+. Please register at queenslibrary.org or call 718-723-4440. Space is limited.

Summer Reading Club: Dance, Dance Storytime

Location: Rochdale Village

Libraries Rock! Enjoy stories and dancing for children ages birth to 5. Dancing is a great way to bond with your child . Here are just a few skills children develop while dancing: balance, coordination, rhythm, social skills, self-esteem, body awareness, listening skills, and gross and fine motor skills. Birth to age 5. Siblings are always welcome.

Book Buddies

Futuristic Friday: Summer Reading

We currently do not have a Friends group at this location, however, kindly contact the Friends Administrator (friends@queenslibrary.org) to find an active Friends group near you. 

Friends Chapters enrich community life around their community library. You will meet other people who care, and you will benefit your neighborhood by:

• Increasing community awareness and library use.
• Acting as liaisons between community and your library.
• Sponsoring programs that enhance the cultural life of your community.

As a Friend, you will:

• Educate your community about Queens Library’s vital services.
• Contribute your time towards programs and special activities at your library.
• Advocate for better library service to your own community through outreach, legislative contact, and fundraising.
