Music and Movement Workshop for Seniors

Linda Choldenko leads a music and movement workshop for seniors ages 50 and up. Ms. Choldenko is a professional dancer, director, and choreographer. She worked in Broadway, off Broadway, and in regional theatre, touring companies, and in Paris and Montreal. She has been a teaching artist with Lincoln Center for 20 years.

Pathway to US Citizenship: Becoming a US Citizen and Building Your Civic Knowledge

Friends Chapters enrich community life around their community library. You will meet other people who care, and you will benefit your neighborhood by:

• Increasing community awareness and library use.
• Acting as liaisons between community and your library.
• Sponsoring programs that enhance the cultural life of your community.

As a Friend, you will:

• Educate your community about Queens Library’s vital services.
• Contribute your time towards programs and special activities at your library.
• Advocate for better library service to your own community through outreach, legislative contact, and fundraising.

Significant Accomplishments:
Our Friends Group works with the library to provide books, materials, programs and more for one of the most diverse neighborhoods in Queens. We are excited to announce an exciting new reading series event. We are always looking more members!

Friends Fun Facts: The Richmond Hill Library was founded by the Twentieth Century Club on April 8, 1899. It became part of the Queens Borough Public Library in 1901. In 1905, the present Carnegie building was opened for service.
