STACKS Program

The STACKS program will enhance learning experiences through structured and unstructured age (6-14) appropriate activities in a safe and welcoming environment that helps build emotional, social, and academic skills. Bring Your Story: Make-N-Take: Scrapbooking for Adults

Work on your latest project in the company of other scrapbookers. Find encouragement, ideas, and new friends. If you’re interested in making scrapbooks, you can visit with the scrapbookers to see how it’s done. We provide some materials and paper to scrapbook on but please do bring in your own images and materials as well if you wish. Drop in and introduce yourself. This event is open to all.

Thank you for your interest in the Friends of the Library at Queens Library.

We currently do not have a Friends group at this location, however, kindly contact the Friends Administrator (friends@queenslibrary.org) to find an active Friends group near you. 

Friends Chapters enrich community life around their community library. You will meet other people who care, and you will benefit your neighborhood by:

• Increasing community awareness and library use.
• Acting as liaisons between community and your library.
• Sponsoring programs that enhance the cultural life of your community.

As a Friend, you will:

• Educate your community about Queens Library’s vital services.
• Contribute your time towards programs and special activities at your library.
• Advocate for better library service to your own community through outreach, legislative contact, and fundraising.
