Meet the Author: Crystal Wolfe Discusses "Where the Shadows Meet the Light"

"Where the Shadows Meet the Light" is the first volume of an epic fantasy by local author Crystal Wolfe. Fourteen chosen ones, guided by an ancient prophecy, come together to defeat a dictator threatening the freedom of all people and magical creatures. Writing from the Heart: An Eleven-Week Workshop in Creative Writing with Dr. Maxine Fisher

Do you have the urge to write a story or essay -- perhaps based on your own personal experience -- but don't know how or where to begin? Come join a group of people who share a love of the written word. Dr. Maxine Fisher taught writing for many years at Queens College and is a published author of books for children and young adults. We currently do not have a Friends group at this location, however, kindly contact the Friends Administrator (friends@queenslibrary.org) to find an active Friends group near you. 

Friends Chapters enrich community life around their community library. You will meet other people who care, and you will benefit your neighborhood by:

• Increasing community awareness and library use.
• Acting as liaisons between community and your library.
• Sponsoring programs that enhance the cultural life of your community.

As a Friend, you will:

• Educate your community about Queens Library’s vital services.
• Contribute your time towards programs and special activities at your library.
• Advocate for better library service to your own community through outreach, legislative contact, and fundraising.
