Join us for book discussions and light refreshments. We will be reading and discussing "One for the Money" by Janet Evanovich on 5/20, "The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks" by Rebecca Skloot on 6/17, "Another Brooklyn" by Jacqueline Woodson on 7/22, and "Persuasion" by Jane Austen on 8/19. Pick up copies four weeks before each meeting; bring your opinions, reactions and criticisms to share with the group!

Thank you for your interest in the Friends of the Library at Queens Library.

Friends Chapters enrich community life around their community library. You will meet other people who care, and you will benefit your neighborhood by:

• Increasing community awareness and library use.
• Acting as liaisons between community and your library.
• Sponsoring programs that enhance the cultural life of your community.

As a Friend, you will:

• Educate your community about Queens Library’s vital services.
• Contribute your time towards programs and special activities at your library.
• Advocate for better library service to your own community through outreach, legislative contact, and fundraising.
