AARP Foundation Tax Counseling For Low Income Older Adults

IRS certified volunteers, sponsored by AARP Foundation, will complete and e-file your 2018 tax returns on a first-come, first-served basis. You must bring a NYS Driver’s License or Non-Driver’s ID; copy of the 2017 return(s); SS card or ITIN for everyone on your return; SSA-1099 form; all W-2s; 1099R, 1099G, 1099 MISC or other 1099 forms; healthcare forms; self-employment forms; 1098T from college; mortgage statement; and a cancelled check for refunds.

Poem in Your Pocket Day

Location: Hollis

To celebrate National Poetry Month and Poem in Your Pocket Day we will write a poem or pick a favorite poem and place it in an attractive little pocket which we'll create. Poetry is infinite and supplies are unlimited.


Thank you for your interest in the Friends of the Library at Queens Library.

Friends Chapters enrich community life around their community library. You will meet other people who care, and you will benefit your neighborhood by:

• Increasing community awareness and library use.
• Acting as liaisons between community and your library.
• Sponsoring programs that enhance the cultural life of your community.

As a Friend, you will:

• Educate your community about Queens Library’s vital services.
• Contribute your time towards programs and special activities at your library.
• Advocate for better library service to your own community through outreach, legislative contact, and fundraising.
