Microsoft Word (in Bengali)

Location: Hollis
Registration: Registration is not yet open for this program. Please check back closer to the program date.
Details: Customers are required to attend all sessions of this program. Registering for this session will reserve your spot for the entire program.

Learn to create documents and work with tables. Part 1-Introduction to Microsoft Word; Part 2- Creating and saving documents; Part 3-Working with tables and printing. Participants should have basic computer skills and must attend all three classes. Preregistration is required. Please call the Hollis Library reference desk at 718-465-7355.

Family Homes for Adults: A One-on-One Tabling Event

Everyone needs a place to call home, but many frail elderly persons, or persons with disabilities or with medical problems need a home with a caregiver who will provide some basic services. If you would like to become a family home caregiver or if you or someone you know need placement as a resident in a family home, find out more at one of these information events provided by NYC Human Resources Administration.

Friends Chapters enrich community life around their community library. You will meet other people who care, and you will benefit your neighborhood by:

• Increasing community awareness and library use.
• Acting as liaisons between community and your library.
• Sponsoring programs that enhance the cultural life of your community.

As a Friend, you will:

• Educate your community about Queens Library’s vital services.
• Contribute your time towards programs and special activities at your library.
• Advocate for better library service to your own community through outreach, legislative contact, and fundraising.
