Summer Reading: Sew the Stars

Location: Glendale
Registration: Registration is not yet open for this program. Please check back closer to the program date.

This program introduces teens to the medium of embroidery. Engaging their scientific and creative minds, students will embroider either an existing constellation or an invented one onto a fabric of their choice. This program is for ages 12 and up. Preregistration is required.

Thank you for your interest in the Friends of the Library at Queens Library.

We currently do not have a Friends group at this location, however, kindly contact the Friends Administrator (friends@queenslibrary.org) to find an active Friends group near you. 

Friends Chapters enrich community life around their community library. You will meet other people who care, and you will benefit your neighborhood by:

• Increasing community awareness and library use.
• Acting as liaisons between community and your library.
• Sponsoring programs that enhance the cultural life of your community.

As a Friend, you will:

• Educate your community about Queens Library’s vital services.
• Contribute your time towards programs and special activities at your library.
• Advocate for better library service to your own community through outreach, legislative contact, and fundraising.
