Sweet Spelling Bee

Location: Glendale
Registration: Not required

Join us for a sweet spelling bee featuring words from our Kid's Book Club book selections, the Harry Potter series and Lemony Snicket's Series of Unfortunate Events. There will be sweet prizes for our participants and winners. For Grades 3-6. Please pre-register with the librarian to receive the word list.


Thank you for your interest in the Friends of the Library at Queens Library.

We currently do not have a Friends group at this location, however, kindly contact the Friends Administrator (friends@queenslibrary.org) to find an active Friends group near you. 

Friends Chapters enrich community life around their community library. You will meet other people who care, and you will benefit your neighborhood by:

• Increasing community awareness and library use.
• Acting as liaisons between community and your library.
• Sponsoring programs that enhance the cultural life of your community.

As a Friend, you will:

• Educate your community about Queens Library’s vital services.
• Contribute your time towards programs and special activities at your library.
• Advocate for better library service to your own community through outreach, legislative contact, and fundraising.
