Coloring Therapy for Adults

Come and experience the latest trend in relaxation, adult coloring! Studies show coloring can have a calming effect on the adult mind and helps promote overall wellness. Come and color while also listening to relaxing music. Coloring pages from books designed especially for adults as well as colored pencils and crayons will be provided.

Free Citizenship Classes

Location: Elmhurst
Registration: Registration is not yet open for this program. Please check back closer to the program date.
Details: Customers are required to attend all sessions of this program. Registering for this session will reserve your spot for the entire program.

Learn everything you need to know about American history, government, and culture to pass the citizenship exam. Register in person at the library on Tuesday, July 2 at 10:00 AM or call 718-278-4303 to preregister in advance. Students should have a copy of their green card when they come to register. Participants must to attend the entire 10 week class series. Candidates must be green card holders. The first day of class is registration day when they should have a copy of their green card.

Friends Chapters enrich community life around their community library. You will meet other people who care, and you will benefit your neighborhood by:

• Increasing community awareness and library use.
• Acting as liaisons between community and your library.
• Sponsoring programs that enhance the cultural life of your community.

As a Friend, you will:

• Educate your community about Queens Library’s vital services.
• Contribute your time towards programs and special activities at your library.
• Advocate for better library service to your own community through outreach, legislative contact, and fundraising.
