Free Citizenship Classes

Location: Elmhurst
Registration: Not required

Learn everything you need to know about American history, government, and culture to pass the citizenship exam. Register in-person at the library on Tuesday, October 2 at 10AM or call 718-278-4303 to preregister in advance. Students should have a copy of their green card when they come to register. Participants must attend the entire 12 week class series. Candidates must be green card holders. The first day of class is registration day; they should have a copy of their green card.

Coloring Therapy

Come and experience the latest trend in relaxation, Adult Coloring! Studies show coloring can have a calming effect on the adult mind and helps promote overall wellness. As a Friend, you will:

• Educate your community about Queens Library’s vital services.
• Contribute your time towards programs and special activities at your library.
• Advocate for better library service to your own community through outreach, legislative contact, and fundraising.
