Film Screening: "Dunkirk"

In May 1940, Germany advanced into France, trapping Allied troops on the beaches of Dunkirk. Under air and ground cover from British and French forces, troops were slowly and methodically evacuated from the beach using every serviceable naval and civilian vessel that could be found.

What is Depression?

Most people experience feelings of sadness or depression at times. Feeling depressed can be a normal reaction to loss or disappointment, but when feelings of intense sadness last for days or weeks, that could be clinical depression. Come learn from Dr. Jerry Chang, Psychiatrist at Zucker Hillside Hospital, what clinical depression is, the signs and symptoms, and ways that it might be treated. All are welcome.

• Contribute your time towards programs and special activities at your library.
• Advocate for better library service to your own community through outreach, legislative contact, and fundraising.
