Teens and Tweens Knit and Crochet for Warm Up America

Calling all Teens and Tweens!!! Come and learn how to knit and crochet for a great cause. We are teaming up with Warm Up America to create different items, such as scarves and blankets to donate to charity.

Erik the Reptile Guy Presents an Environmentally Friendly Approach to Conservation Wildlife

Location: Douglaston/Little Neck

Get ready for a great adventure with Erik the Reptile Guy and his "menagerie" of life sized GIANT reptiles, amphibians, and bugs! Ever want to see a 12 foot crocodile up close? You will! This fun-filled event is for ages 6-12.

Friends Chapters enrich community life around their community library. You will meet other people who care, and you will benefit your neighborhood by:
• Increasing community awareness and library use.
• Acting as liaisons between community and your library.
• Sponsoring programs that enhance the cultural life of your community.
As a Friend, you will:
• Educate your community about Queens Library’s vital services.
• Contribute your time towards programs and special activities at your library.
• Advocate for better library service to your own community through outreach, legislative contact, and fundraising.
