Language Learning Group for Beginners in French

Have you ever wished you could speak French? Learn how to use Transparent Language Online and benefit from a ten-week group learning experience too! You will need a Queens Library card and a computer, tablet, or smart phone to access Transparent Language to do your weekly assignments. The Circle of Transformation brings women together to support each other. A healing space is created where women can discuss issues that impact their lives. Free Childbirth Education

This three-hour class will help you build confidence in your body’s strength and abilities for birth. Come learn about the stages of labor, how to prepare, and what to expect. This class is a must for anyone who is pregnant, a support person, or considering having a child in the next year. Come learn from a Certified Childbirth Educator. Literature to Life Stage Presentation of "Black Boy" by Richard Wright

Based on Richard Wright's searing autobiography, performed by Tarantino Smith, and adapted and directed by Wynn Handman, "Black Boy" dramatizes the author's journey from childhood innocence to adulthood in the Jim Crow South. It is both the unashamed confession of a proud non-conformist and a profound indictment of social injustice and human suffering.
