It's Time for Kind: Kindness FOREVERgreen Tree

Location: Auburndale

Spread the kindness! The kindness FOREVERgreen tree will make its debut on December 3rd and will be on display until December 15th. Kids: Decorate and write an act of kindness on a snowflake to hang on the Evergreen Tree. Adults & Teens: Choose a snowflake ornament and fulfill the kindness act written within. STEMzational Workshop for Children ages 6 to 12

Get ready for a STEMzational Workshops with Queens Library!

Kids ages 6-12! You're invited to participate in "Let's Go to Disney/Fun with Forces" where you will learn about the four forces of flight (lift, gravity, trust, and drag) and aerodynamics. You and your friends will be engaged in hands-on experience designing, testing and re-designing paper airplanes. Space is limited and preregistration is required. For children ages 6 to 12.

Bring a copy of your 2017 income tax return(s); all W-2, 1099,and other tax forms and documents for 2018; unemployment compensation statements; an SSA-1099 form if you received Social Security benefits; a photo I.D. for every person listed on your return; and Social Security cards or other official documentation for yourself and all dependents.

Thank you for your interest in the Friends of the Library at Queens Library.

We currently do not have a Friends group at this location, however, kindly contact the Friends Administrator (friends@queenslibrary.org) to find an active Friends group near you. 

Friends Chapters enrich community life around their community library. You will meet other people who care, and you will benefit your neighborhood by:

• Increasing community awareness and library use.
• Acting as liaisons between community and your library.
• Sponsoring programs that enhance the cultural life of your community.

As a Friend, you will:

• Educate your community about Queens Library’s vital services.
• Contribute your time towards programs and special activities at your library.
• Advocate for better library service to your own community through outreach, legislative contact, and fundraising.
