National Voter Registration Day Non-Partisan Drive

World Tour: Soloists in America on a Musical Journey

Location: Auburndale

Cellist Heitor Saucedo, violinist Miguel Gamboa, and violist/guitarist Hemir Saucedo are three talented string musicians that make up Soloists in America. They have a global and multi-genre repertoire, performing classical selections and music from South and Central America, Mexico, the Caribbean, and North America. As a group of young musicians and teachers, they are making a difference in the lives of children and people of all ages.

STEMzational Workshop for Children ages 6 to 12

Get ready for a STEMzational Workshops with Queens Library!

Kids ages 6-12! You're invited to participate in "Let's Go to Disney/Fun with Forces" where you will learn about the four forces of flight (lift, gravity, trust, and drag) and aerodynamics. You and your friends will be engaged in hands-on experience designing, testing and re-designing paper airplanes. Space is limited and preregistration is required. For children ages 6 to 12.


Thank you for your interest in the Friends of the Library at Queens Library.

We currently do not have a Friends group at this location, however, kindly contact the Friends Administrator (friends@queenslibrary.org) to find an active Friends group near you. 

Friends Chapters enrich community life around their community library. You will meet other people who care, and you will benefit your neighborhood by:

• Increasing community awareness and library use.
• Acting as liaisons between community and your library.
• Sponsoring programs that enhance the cultural life of your community.

As a Friend, you will:

• Educate your community about Queens Library’s vital services.
• Contribute your time towards programs and special activities at your library.
• Advocate for better library service to your own community through outreach, legislative contact, and fundraising.
