STACKS After School Program

Puerto Rican-born guitarist and composer Josué Pérez and guitarist and flamenco dancer Lisa Spraragen present "danza" and "bolero" selections by Rafael Hernandez, Angel Mislán, and Don Felo, as well as original pieces by Pérez that range from a delicate prelude to a bold flamenco.

Queens Library Rocks! with Mr. Chris's Musical Experience

Location: Arverne
Registration: Not required

Children will engage in a high energy and interactive show with Mr. Chris featuring music, song, and dance with an educational twist. Come kick off Summer Reading and pick out great books to read over the summer. For children 6-12. Space is limited.

• Increasing community awareness and library use.
• Acting as liaisons between community and your library.
• Sponsoring programs that enhance the cultural life of your community.

As a Friend, you will:

• Educate your community about Queens Library’s vital services.
• Contribute your time towards programs and special activities at your library.
• Advocate for better library service to your own community through outreach, legislative contact, and fundraising.
