STACKS After School Program

Developed by Queens Library, STACKS is a free after school program for children aged 6 – 14. STACKS was created to enhance your child’s learning experiences through structured and unstructured, age-appropriate activities in a safe and welcoming environment that helps school-aged children build their emotional, social and academic skills.

Manga Workshop with Ivan Velez

A Reptile "Edventure" with Erik Callender

Location: Arverne
Registration: Not required

This fun-filled educational experience gives children age 6 and up a unique opportunity to see and learn about The Reptile Guy's animal science, rescue, and awareness. Meet reptiles, amphibians, and even some large insects from around the world.

Friends Chapters enrich community life around their community library. You will meet other people who care, and you will benefit your neighborhood by:

• Increasing community awareness and library use.
• Acting as liaisons between community and your library.
• Sponsoring programs that enhance the cultural life of your community.

As a Friend, you will:

• Educate your community about Queens Library’s vital services.
• Contribute your time towards programs and special activities at your library.
• Advocate for better library service to your own community through outreach, legislative contact, and fundraising.
