Join Us for a Celebration of Pakistan Independence Day with Music, Food, and a Fun Lecture

The celebration includes a lecture with Bazah Roohi, patriotic and traditional music with Aziz and Saboor Peerzada, and a food workshop to cap off the day. You will have the opportunity to taste chick peas chaat and yogurt.

ShapeUp NYC: Latin Cardio Dance Fitness for Adults

Instructor Michele leads this fitness class that addresses muscle strength, flexibility, and endurance while keeping your heart rate up in order to burn maximum calories and tone the body. Local author Crystal Wolfe will discuss her book "Our Invisible Neighbors: Accounts, Causes, and Solutions to the Epidemic of Homelessness in the 21st Century." Books will be available for sale and signing.


Thank you for your interest in the Friends of the Library at Queens Library.

We currently do not have a Friends group at this location, however, kindly contact the Friends Administrator (friends@queenslibrary.org) to find an active Friends group near you. 

Friends Chapters enrich community life around their community library. You will meet other people who care, and you will benefit your neighborhood by:

• Increasing community awareness and library use.
• Acting as liaisons between community and your library.
• Sponsoring programs that enhance the cultural life of your community.

As a Friend, you will:

• Educate your community about Queens Library’s vital services.
• Contribute your time towards programs and special activities at your library.
• Advocate for better library service to your own community through outreach, legislative contact, and fundraising.
