Choosing the right college entrance exam can be difficult, but this series will help you make the right decision. Princeton Review's "What do your scores mean?" workshop will give you all the information you need to about the SAT and ACT. Find out how you would score on a full-length practice test. Take a practice SAT or ACT exam and you'll receive a personalized score report pinpointing your strengths and weaknesses. Registration is required.

Broken Heart Week: "Broken Heart: The Words We Say, The Pictures We See"

Artists UNO and Cheon Pyo Lee will create an interactive yet personal project of remembrance and artistic expression that can derive from the experience of a broken heart. In fact, the main driving factors behind antibiotic resistance are the overuse and misuse of antibiotics. Come learn from an infectious disease pharmacist and physician assistant about when antibiotics are and are not needed, as well as the potential harms of using antibiotics.

Intermediate Level Watercolor/Drawing

This is an eight week program where participants will learn a variety of intermediate level drawing and watercolor techniques that will sharpen their capacity to see in ways artists see. The ninth session will be a culminating event consisting of a gallery showing of participants' work. This is a Lifetime Arts Creative Aging program for adults age 50 and up. We currently do not have a Friends group at this location, however, kindly contact the Friends Administrator (friends@queenslibrary.org) to find an active Friends group near you. 

Friends Chapters enrich community life around their community library. You will meet other people who care, and you will benefit your neighborhood by:

• Increasing community awareness and library use.
• Acting as liaisons between community and your library.
• Sponsoring programs that enhance the cultural life of your community.

As a Friend, you will:

• Educate your community about Queens Library’s vital services.
• Contribute your time towards programs and special activities at your library.
• Advocate for better library service to your own community through outreach, legislative contact, and fundraising.
