Moving for Life

Moving for Life is a scientifically based self-care fitness program using gentle warm-ups, light aerobics, and targeted strengthening in a way that is fun and enjoyable for all! Workouts can be done seated or standing. You are encouraged to do what is comfortable and modify based on your energy, range of motion, or fitness level. We start where you are, so don’t worry if you haven’t been moving in a while. All are welcome!

Women's Cancers

Even though more people than ever before lead full lives after cancer treatment, it can still be hard to talk about cancer, even with the people you love. Come learn from experts at H+H/Elmhurst about the most common types of cancer that affect women. During this session, we will discuss basic facts about prevention, treatment, and review facts and myths about common women's cancers. All are welcome.

Con Brio Ensemble presents Chamber Works for Duos and Trios

Toddler Learning Center

Open to young children ages 18–38 months and their parents, this five-week workshop is led by early childhood professionals. Healthy Pregnancy

Pregnancy can be exciting and stressful. Come learn from Dr. Georges Sylvestre, obstetrician-gynecologist and chief of maternal fetal medicine at NYC Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst, about some of the ways that you can have a healthy pregnancy. Friends Chapters enrich community life around their community library. You will meet other people who care, and you will benefit your neighborhood by:

• Increasing community awareness and library use.
• Acting as liaisons between community and your library.
• Sponsoring programs that enhance the cultural life of your community.

As a Friend, you will:

• Educate your community about Queens Library’s vital services.
• Contribute your time towards programs and special activities at your library.
• Advocate for better library service to your own community through outreach, legislative contact, and fundraising.
