CiCi Fader is a 2017 First Prize winner of the prestigious Bradshaw and Buono International Piano Competition at Carnegie Hall. Flushing & NAP present: Chinese Author Talk Series #16 - Huang Xiang & His Poetry Collection

In 1992 – 1993, Huang Xiang has been selected for the British World Celebrity and the Biography of United States outstanding figures. Huang Xiang was nominated the Nobel Prize for Literature. His "House Poem" combines art of writing with poetry, and the walls of the house are decorated with poetry and calligraphy, which became sightseeing in the city of Pittsburgh.
Huang Xiang’s Poem reading, his painting and display of other publications will be part of the event.

Significant Accomplishments: The Friends regularly volunteer at the Flushing Festival and the Dragon Boat Festival. They also donate funds to the matched Buy-A-Book Campaign and have sponsored afternoon tea and raffle fundraiser. Since 2009, the Friends sponsor a six months Mandarin Chinese Language program. And they bought a wall banner celebrating Black History month.

Friends Fun Facts: The Friends water the many plants inside the library on a weekly basis and do season plant care and landscaping on plaza of the library. In 2012 attended the Mayor’s Lunar New Year Reception at Gracie Mansion. They also keep the pantry fully stocked and clean.
