Animal Show with Jason Reilly

Location: Far Rockaway
Registration: Not required

Join Jason Reilly as he introduces his animal friends. Children will learn where these animals are from, what they eat, when they sleep, and how they protect themselves. Meet frogs, bugs, a bunny, guinea pigs, chinchillas, mice, reptiles, birds, hermit crabs, and a chicken. Enjoy dancing, singing and a surprise activity at the end of the show.

Queens Artists and Nonprofit Organizations: Do You Need Funding?

Location: Far Rockaway
Registration: Not required

Queens Council on the Arts supports the hard work and contributions of Queens-based individual artists and nonprofit organizations producing cultural programming in all arts disciplines through grants. Applicants must attend a Application Information Session to learn about the guidelines before applying.


Thank you for your interest in the Friends of the Library at Queens Library.

We currently do not have a Friends group at this location, however, kindly contact the Friends Administrator (friends@queenslibrary.org) to find an active Friends group near you. 

Friends Chapters enrich community life around their community library. You will meet other people who care, and you will benefit your neighborhood by:

• Increasing community awareness and library use.
• Acting as liaisons between community and your library.
• Sponsoring programs that enhance the cultural life of your community.

As a Friend, you will:

• Educate your community about Queens Library’s vital services.
• Contribute your time towards programs and special activities at your library.
• Advocate for better library service to your own community through outreach, legislative contact, and fundraising.
