Let's Make Some Noise: Ask Me Anything

Here’s a chance to ask everything you ever wanted to know about our LGBTQ community but were afraid to ask! Our “Ask Me Anything” panel discussion aims to take away the awkwardness of asking personal questions in a public panel forum. Ask anonymously in writing and have your questions answered! There is no such thing as a foolish question, and everybody will be a little bit wiser after this great opportunity for a frank, open, and all-encompassing conversation.

Free Citizenship Classes

Learn everything you need to know about American history, government, and culture to pass the citizenship exam. Participants must attend the entire 12-class series. Please arrive at 10 am sharp on Wednesday, April 3 to register in person at the Broadway Library (first-come, first-served) or call 718-278-4303 to preregister in advance. Candidates must be green card holders. The first day of class is the registration day when they should bring a copy of their green card.

Bring Your Story: Preserving and Promoting Cultural Heritage in Design and Fashion

Rockabye Baby: Safe Sleep

Thank you for your interest in the Friends of the Library at Queens Library.

We currently do not have a Friends group at this location, however, kindly contact the Friends Administrator (friends@queenslibrary.org) to find an active Friends group near you. 

Friends Chapters enrich community life around their community library. You will meet other people who care, and you will benefit your neighborhood by:

• Increasing community awareness and library use.
• Acting as liaisons between community and your library.
• Sponsoring programs that enhance the cultural life of your community.

As a Friend, you will:

• Educate your community about Queens Library’s vital services.
• Contribute your time towards programs and special activities at your library.
• Advocate for better library service to your own community through outreach, legislative contact, and fundraising.
