Celebrate Korean Independence Day with a Healthy Korean Food Preparation Workshop

Location: Bayside

Celebrate Korean Independence Day with healthy and delicious japche. It will be accompanied by aromatic and savory roasted barley tea. Korean chef Soh Young Lee-Segredo will be the instructor. Japche is made with starch noodle, scrambled eggs, and different vegetables: onion, carrots, scallions, a variety of mushrooms, spinach, and chives.

Thank you for your interest in the Friends of the Library at Queens Library.

We currently do not have a Friends group at this location, however, kindly contact the Friends Administrator (friends@queenslibrary.org) to find an active Friends group near you. 

Friends Chapters enrich community life around their community library. You will meet other people who care, and you will benefit your neighborhood by:

• Increasing community awareness and library use.
• Acting as liaisons between community and your library.
• Sponsoring programs that enhance the cultural life of your community.

As a Friend, you will:

• Educate your community about Queens Library’s vital services.
• Contribute your time towards programs and special activities at your library.
• Advocate for better library service to your own community through outreach, legislative contact, and fundraising.
