Sunnyside: Morning Composting; Weekly Food Waste Drop-Off in Spanish

Bring your frozen food scraps (fruit and vegetable scraps; coffee grounds, including paper filter; tea bags; egg and nut shells; bread and pasta with no toppings) to our weekly food waste drop-off outside Queens Library at Sunnyside, Saturdays at 10:30AM-12:00PM. BIG! Compost will turn it into nutrient-rich compost. No meat, dairy, bones, or oily foods, please!

Plant Propagation Workshop

In this hands-on workshop, participants will learn how to sow seeds, grow plants from cuttings using root hormone and propagate by layering. We will also discuss grafting woody plants. Participants will take away plants propagated in the workshop to nurture and grow at home.
