A Mouse in the City: A Puppet Musical of "Ginormous" Proportions!
Children ages 3-13 will follow the adventures of one happy-go-lucky mouse on his journey to the big city in this puppet musical presented by award-winning singer and actor Tyrone L. Robinson. Space is limited. Tickets will be given out on a first come, first served basis beginning at 12 p.m. on the day of the program at the Children’s Library Discovery Center.

Family Day Energy Fair 
There will be snacks, games, prizes and a take-home energy savings gift at Queens Library for Teens (2002 Cornaga Ave, Far Rockaway). Exhibitors from organizations focusing on energy efficiency and renewable energy technologies such as solar and wind power will show how to get financial support for reducing energy consumption and saving money on energy bills.

What's That Sound? Strings Attached
Queens Symphony Orchestra explores orchestral instrument families in a five-session performance and hands-on instrument-making workshop for children age 6 and up accompanied by a parent or other adult caregiver. Materials are provided on a first-come, first-served basis. May 4: Strings Attached; May 18: Woodwinds. June 1: Sign up to play in the orchestra and perform with your handmade instrument.
