Artists: Apply Now for Project Art!

UPDATE: Read testimonials about the ProjectArt Teaching Artist Residency Program on the Queens Library blog.

Calling all visual artists—bring your creativity to ProjectArt!

ProjectArt is now accepting proposals from visual artists based in New York to participate in the 2017-2018 Teaching Artist Residency Program.

Artists will be awarded the opportunity to teach art classes to children and have access to free creative working space in a public library, including six Queens Library locations.

The purpose of the residency is to support local artists by providing them with the opportunity to utilize the public library as a platform to create new work or advance an existing body of work. The program also aims to provide free after-school and weekend classes to youth who have little to no access to art classes. Community engagement and collaboration with the public are also welcome.

The application deadline is Thursday June 22, 2017.
