Queens Library now offers free self-publishing of eBooks through the SELF-e program. Whether you are a fiction writer working on the next great American novel, an English teacher instilling a love of writing in your students, or a non-profit organization compiling a members’ cookbook, SELF-e is a way to disseminate your work to the public at absolutely no cost to you. Your book will automatically be made available to New York State residents as an e-book on Biblioboards, and select books will be published nationally or promoted by Queens Library through author events at local branches. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain with Queens Library and SELF-e. Publish now!

Library Journal‘s 2015 Self-Published eBook Awards
The Library Journal will honor the best self-published ebooks in the following genres: Romance, Mystery, Science Fiction, Fantasy. There will be a winner in each genre and each winner will receive $1,000.00 USD from Library Journal. All winners and honorable mentions shall also receive a review in Library Journal published in print and online, featured in a promotional ad, in Library Journal’s December “Best of Books” issue, and recognition at Library Journal’s Self-Published Ebook Awards reception to be held during the American Library Association Midwinter Meeting.
The submission period is from May 10 through August 31, 2015.
