Microsoft Excel (in Spanish)

Need to learn how to create a worksheet and perform calculations? These classes are for you: 6/08-Introduction to Microsoft Excel; 6/15-Calculations and worksheets; 6/22-Workbooks and layout. Patrons should be able to use the keyboard and mouse and to open and close applications, and are encouraged to attend all three classes. Preregistration is required in person at the Cyber Center Desk beginning Saturday, June 1 at 9:00AM.

Cultural Programs

New Americans Program offers Cultural Arts programs celebrating the arts and literature of ethnic groups in Queens communities. Programs are presented in the Central Library and in community libraries. Offerings include music, dance, drama performances, bilingual poetry and storytelling. Cultural arts programs are bilingual in English and the language of the culture being showcased.


Coping Skills

New Americans Program offers Copings Skills workshops: lectures and workshops to help immigrants adjust to life in America presented in selected community libraries as well as the Central Library. Programs are presented in English and in the major immigrant languages of Queens by lawyers, teachers, counselors and other professionals. Topics presented include immigration law, becoming a citizen, tenants rights, career planning, starting a business, parenting, education and health.
