May 25 3:00PM How Do You Take Care of a Person with a Memory Problem? (In Mandarin Chinese) The Alzheimer’s Association, New York City Chapter, offers a monthly support group in Mandarin Chinese for people caring for a person with Alzheimer’s or any of the other dementias. Our support group is a secure and safe place to share your experiences. The group will meet on Saturdays, April 27, May 25 and June 22. Cultural Programs

New Americans Program offers Cultural Arts programs celebrating the arts and literature of ethnic groups in Queens communities. Programs are presented in the Central Library and in community libraries. Offerings include music, dance, drama performances, bilingual poetry and storytelling. Cultural arts programs are bilingual in English and the language of the culture being showcased.

Coping Skills

New Americans Program offers Copings Skills workshops: lectures and workshops to help immigrants adjust to life in America presented in selected community libraries as well as the Central Library. Programs are presented in English and in the major immigrant languages of Queens by lawyers, teachers, counselors and other professionals. Topics presented include immigration law, becoming a citizen, tenants rights, career planning, starting a business, parenting, education and health.
