Programmer

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Programmer performs a variety of web and applications programming assignments requiring knowledge of established programming procedures and data processing requirements. Coverts data from project specifications and statements of problems and procedures to create or modify computer programs. Prepares or receives detailed specifications to describe sequence of steps in which a program must follow input, output and logical operations involved. Architect environments for websites, applications, Database and Webservice. Develop websites with Drupal 6 and 7 including theming, module development and Drupal performance optimization. Build and Maintain Unix operating system (Ubuntu, RedHat Linux, Solaris, Centos, Fedora). Maintain with MySQL DBMS 5.0+ and Oracle, including writing advanced SQL queries and performance tuning. Work and interact cross-functionally with other team members including quality assurance, product management, and business analysts. Codes, test debugs and documents more complex programs and enhances exiting programs to ensure that data processing production systems continue to meet user needs. Identifies and resolves system operating problems in order to provide continuous business operations. Resolve cross-platform/cross-browser development issues using Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer, and web development tools. Interfaces with user management regarding project status and user and user needs to promote an environment of user cooperation and satisfaction. Provides guidance and training to less-experienced programmers in order to improve productivity. Write Shell Scripts for schedule jobs to update Drupal variables and log rotation hourly site and database backup. Performs other duties as required.

*Schedule includes some evenings and weekends.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor Degree in Computer Programming or equivalent field and 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience is required. Must have 3-5 years of experience working with PHP, Drupal and MYSQL. At least 3 Years of experience in JavaScript, JQuery, CSS and HTML 5. Proficiency in building and managing webservers (RedHat Linux, Solaris, CentOS and Fedora), form Building and Maintenance. Experience with Drupal 6 and 7 including theming, module development, use of DRUSH and features module. Experience with Drupal performance optimization is desired. Competent HTML/CSS/JavaScript coding abilities - including the latest standards (HTML5, CSS3) and Web 2.0 / AJAX.
