New York Rising

Queens Library, in collaboration with the Neighborhood Housing Services of Jamaica and the Margert Community Corporation, will be launching NY Rising Community Center Services in the Peninsula and Far Rockaway community libraries. The overall purpose of the project is to establish disaster recovery services that will provide local residents and business owners with recovery information, support in recovery efforts, and the ability to receive recovery services in centralized locations. As such, residents of Queens affected by these storms will have access to a range of programs and services designed to rebuild their communities.
