Free E-File Tax Assistance for Qualified Tax Payers

Location: Sunnyside
Registration: Not required

Queens Library, in cooperation with the New York State Tax Department, is offering free tax-preparation assistance at participating libraries from January to April. If your income did not exceed $62,000 in 2015, you qualify to e-file at no cost. Volunteers will be available at this location who speak English and Spanish. To learn more about the free e-file program, visit www.tax.ny.gov. For a listing of participating Queens Community Libraries, visit www.queenslibrary.org/events.

Drawing to See: A Creative Aging Program

Location: Sunnyside
Registration: Registration is now closed

Over the course of eight weeks participants will learn a variety of drawing techniques that will sharpen their capacity to see in ways artists see. The ninth session will be a culminating event consisting of a gallery showing of participants' work. This is a Lifetime Arts Creative Aging program for adults age 50 and up. Preregistration is required.
