Description:

Offers both Information and Referral, and direct services to the Russian refugee population of Queens. Included in Information and Referral are: Cultural Heritage, Day Care and children's issues, immigration legal services, mental health, and senior citizen's issues. Direct services provided include: Education programs, Employment and training programs, translation and interpreting services, senior citizen's programs, and job placement. Other services provided include: "referrals to other social service agencies, such as social security, food stamps, and section 8 housing; translation of documents (fee charged); employment services/counseling and vocational English as a second language classes."

Hours:

M-Fri 6:15 am- 10 pm; Sunday 8 am-10 pm.

Eligibility Requirements:

No restrictions; however, many referrals to agencies that require refugee status.

Fees/Methods of Payment:Most programs free. Private pay for translation of documents.
